Hi,
Not to sure bout the liquid force bindings but i have a new underground with sync bindings, at first bindings dont fit after a few little cuts in the whole of the binding they will get in. but they go awesome.

I recommend the sync.

goodluck!

Heard some complaints about the sync, also heard some complaints about the LF's. I have the LF's, no complaints from me, best straps I've ever used.

I reckon the LF comp strap kit is the most comfortable you will find on the market. Everyone who rides my boards wishes they had my pads and straps. I have never heard any complaints...but maybe there are some out there...people will complain about anything...

You won't go wrong with the LF's...

Happy kiting!

yeah when i ride straps i use the LF Comp STRAP because they are the best STRAPS ( NOT BINDINGS) to date, the pads aren't super soft but thats a good thing because when u lace them down hard ur foot stays secure instead of having the pad compress and hence loosen the strap around your foot. super comfy though and softens landings up heaps. I would use these STRAPS over any other STRAPS including the cabrinha sync STRAPS (NOT BINDINGS).

Liquid Force are awesome pads wouldnt ride without these days.....the Comp LAce Strap however is a bit of a w@nk........ that little toggle thing keeps bouncing around until it rests under your heel ( not a good feeling having a hard plastic stone under your heel when landing so cut that off first ) I personally didnt feel that they held my feet any better than properly adjusted normal straps.

how big is the toggle thing? to be able to reach your heel is abit of a worry

i love the idea of being able to tighten them with that system

Its easy enough to shorten, or you can wrap it around the heelstrap which goes over the footstrap when its not in use. It happen to me once, I wrapped it around the heelstrap, problem solved.

The Sync straps are fine- I have tried both and I prefer the Sync ( probably because I am used to them )

I think the LF are a little overpriced... they both look very similar to me.

I use the Sync strap with the LF comp pads. IMHO the best of both worlds.

what you gota do is shorten the lace, they make it long az so people can adjust it to what ever size, i personally tighten mine down a fair bit so i made the lace long enough so it just reaches the place its meant to clip into, never have it bouncing out and around after that.

My lace pops out of the shoe all the time. The magnet is not strong enough to keep it in place when hitting waves.
Even on their website they showed a pic with the lace out of the magnetic shoe.

If your magnet has stopped working, just chuck a bit of tape around the magnet on the shoe lace so its a snug fit in the female part.

I sell both and I've used both. There are good and bad points with both.

Sync Bindings
Pad not as comfy as some, for my feet, but improves after 10 mins or so of riding. Pad is too long for some boards. Pad does not need to be so deep sided at the heel end, it could be shaped better to be less likely to cause spray.
Upper
F$%king awesome, offers double the support of a normal wide strap and at least 50-70% more support than the LF upper(strap). They are literally 50-100% wider than an average wide strap, and give heaps of upper foot support and reduce heel lift a lot. Best worn a bit loose, adjustment is so easy, but the lace stopper things do not hold under tension and a knot must be tied behind it. Excess lace can just be tucked back towards a riders heel, under the lace, and has never come out and bothered me while riding.

LF Luxury Stap set
Comes a with a handle wtf?
Anyway, toss the handle, and you have a very comfy set up, but I don't like the strap, and it is just a lace up strap. It has a ridge line of stitching under the toe area that rubbed the skin off the top of my toes (may not happen to all riders). It has no more support for your foot than a normal wide strap. BUT it is a lot easier to adjust than a velcro strap.
The fixing points where the lacings are held are the same width as a normal strap, so thats where the tension is, just across the centre of the strap.
This is the problem with a lot of straps they don't hold down at the toes or at the top of your arch, just across the middle of you arch.
The pads are excellent, very cushy, although on really hard landings I have seen people push their foot through the strap (think there was a pic posted here once?), same pads as the LF Luxury pad/strap set.

The lace gripper adjuster thingy works well, but the way the end flops around and comes loose from its holder is a PITA

We have had a few warranty claims, which LF were very, very good about. The strap tore close to the mounting point at the side of the pad on hard landings or by riders that ride a LOT.

After trying them back to back on my FLX I went back to the Underground straps, and I have a Cab Caliber 1.33 board fitted with Sync Backless Bindings which I really like to use a lot. I currently don't own a board fitted with LF, sold mine got $140 for them!

News scoop - there is something coming from Underground that sounds like it will blow both of the above off the water!!!! I'm sworn to secrecy and have not seen the protos, but from what I heard they will be the dogs nuts!

What size feet do you have? Maybe you need to get the smaller straps.?
I am sure we will hear more about the new Underground strap/binding system soon, they are due to release the 2009 range in January 2009.
