I currently have KA membership/insurance for kitesurfing. I also need liability insurance for racing both windsurfers and sail boats at sailing clubs. When I think about when I would most likely injure somebody, it would be on a paddle board or surfboard. So my question is do I need separate policies with each association or is there a personal policy that covers all sports?
There are a few exclusions... but I just confirmed with my home and contents insurer about liability coverage while partaking in sports outside the home. Ie surfing kiting etc. the exclusions were when partaking in professional events, jet skis, and some more but I was covered otherwise. Check your policy with your provider
Thanks for reply Pearl. I just confirmed with NRMA I have liability insurance when using portable toys included under home contents insurance. Knowing this makes contents insurance a bit more attractive. I feel better supporting the individual association schemes like KA though.
