Last time i spoke with the previous years organizers, the comp is no longer running.
A shame cos last years comp was great! and i know a heap of local goldie guys that just hang out for this comp every year.
Maybe if someone has got the time and $ to help them out, maybe it might happen but last report was that it's not on this yr.
I'd love nothing more then to see it happen as it's only 1 hour drive down the road for us, plus lennox rocks in NE!! Oh and the pub rocks to!!

Thats a bummer because I've been wanting to go for the last 3 years but just never got there....Thought I'd get organised this year & get to it, but looks like I won't be going unless someone helps out in terms of $ & time to get it running.
It sounded like a great comp with heaps of future potential, sad to see it go....
The Lennox comp is fantastic,it would be a shame if it wasnt happening this year,i reckon the funds remaining from the previous lennox comps should be offered to Ash to go again this year,its a big effort and he does an incredible job.
Seeing the comp also involves kitesurfing in waves, would it make sense to look towards traditional surfing sponsors to help out with the money side of running it? Some of the Goldy companies Billabong, Cult etc might be worth approaching if it was to go ahead.
