Do you know where the wind station is located ? Lake mac is a big area , the next station south is Norah head and it always tells lies, [less for winter and more for summer] .

Its more than just kiters that use the site around here - hang glider pilots, paraglider pilots , sailors , surfers, glider pilots, general aviation, etc etc Thanks laurie

I remember hearing Greg piper talking about it on the radio a few months back about how lake mac was about top hit the 'big time ' with its new BOM weather station .I am pretty sure he said it was around the Wangi area.

I'm pretty sure its on a guys roof at eleeebana .i had a look a cupla times when there were some westerlies and it seemed to be about 5 kts less than what seemed to be the average at squids
