In a new move AKSA have proudly sponsored an Australian produced kiteboarding program called Kitelife. The show in the words of the producers is about progressing your riding in the safest possible way.


Kitelife is an Aussie TV series featuring riders and locations from all over Australia.

With heaps of content including trick tips, safety tips from AKSA and interviews with KPWT World Champ Jesse Richman, kiteboarding goddess Anna Grezlinska, Andy Yates, Ruben Lenten and heaps of home grown talent too.

By becoming a member of AKSA you not only benefit from the insurance and piece of mind we offer but you will also be supporting the show that is supported by AKSA.

Help keep kiting in the main stream media for all the right reasons, plus you’ll get your own little slice of Kitelife… mmmm it’s delicious!!!

It is true that for the greater part of Australia the season is coming to a close, but this is even more reason to join AKSA via your state affiliation today. With the autumn months nearing full height and the winter season just around the corner, the predictable summer sea breeze’s are long gone & your safety is at a higher risk.
For the most part the winter months bring frontal or stormy conditions, and even though we strongly advise people not to kite in such conditions, the fact of the matter is that people still will, and they should take every possible precaution to ensure they are safe, and covered.

So head to your state affiliation’s website today and renew your membership if you’re a financial member from years gone by, or especially if you are new to the sport and support the State and National affiliations that support you, your beaches, and your mates. $65 is a small price to pay for piece of mind.

I was also wondring what happened to our copy of Kitelife, I thought all AKSA members were supposed to receive a copy.

I'd like to come to the meeting but will be still on the East Coast until next week. So what gives guys? How do we get our copy of Kitelife?

You will no doubt be ecstatic to hear that your WAKSA exec last night resolved to send ALL members their copies of the four series KiteLife DVD with no further delay.

We had planned to give you some added value from the give-away by offering it as a reward for those members who re-enrolled for the next season during Sept. A tactic designed to keep as many members as possible continuously insured.
However at last nights AGM a fellow WAKSA member; Tim Coombs - about to depart OS; very generously donated his company provided "SOLAHART" kite to be "put to good use" by WAKSA.
This kite will now be offered as the prize in a draw of all kiters who re-enrol; OR join-up for the first time; during the month of Sept. You will hear more of this as time goes on. A huge vote of thanks was passed on to Tim from all present as this gesture was made entirely of his own free will. The kite was essentially his to do with as he pleased but he opted for the very honourable option of doing a 'righty' to the benefit of his employer, WAKSA and some lucky WAKSA kiter.
Great to see. Thanks again Tim.

NB: As everyone should know the only way to get full 12 month value of insurance & membership is to enrol before the season start date of Oct 1st. Re-enroling on the due date this season will be a win<>win for YOU.

And Charl - given the brilliant organisational skills of your WAKSA crew we dont even have to worry about postage costs. We have made arrangements such that AKSA will be picking up that tab. Wont cost WAKSA members a dot
