Good morning fellow kitesurfers!!!!!!!!
Could anyone of you direct me to a kite board shaper possibly south of the river??? I live in Freo so I would prefer someone close by if possible but not vital.

Thank you everybody and I wish you a good kite Christmas! !!!

G'day Zanna

Not south of the river but north (very north) - Geraldton.
This is my new board shaped by Mark Stone. Mark shaped the board around the new North Nugget design. Then personally delivered it to me - I live in Bunbury.

If you need more details PM me.

Good luck!

The kite one (with inserts) is 5'7 x 18.5 x 2.25 thruster.

The shape suits Perth - short/wide profile for smaller waves but with a pulled in tail for when it gets windy and/or sucky/dumpy.

Nice, I like that kind of shape, nose looks good, as you say it's pretty versatile.

Hard to go past Marty at Delta Designs. If you're looking for a board for metro, I (and two other mates as well) just took delivery of the board pictured below and it is by far the best board for metro that I have ridden. I was really impressed with it as a thruster, until I rode it as a quad, unreal. This is the third Delta board that I have in my quiver. Its a loose copy of the firewire vanguard.
He turned it around in one week. He is south of the river....Margaret River!
Marty is a top bloke, prefers a chat on the phone to email and with due respect to the other shapers, he froths on kiting and is constantly testing and modifying his shapes on his own experiences in the waves. Back in the day he shaped all of Norths boards, the first versions of the Kontact, Nuggett etc. so he has a wealth of experience in kite board shaping.
Looking at around $1200 with pads, straps and a futures quad set. Dims for mine at 85kgs are: 5'5" x 17&1/2 x 2&1/16, comes in at around 24 and a bit litres.

I'll Give a second shout out for Mark Stone, I don't live in Gero but it was really easy to sort it out with him… Board is still bullet proof and my go to 3 years on,

How heavy are Marty's boards compared to a regular surfboard?

Is he glassing in epoxy or poly?

Although EPS cores are much lighter, the water intake of EPS is a pain.

Another Plug for Marty
DELTA Revamp 5'-9" x 18-1/4" x 2-1/8"
Goes awesome...Strapped or Unstrapped, Thruster or Quad!!
The little afterburner channel thingy in the tail gives it great drive and hold.
PU/Epoxy

Not as light as a firewire.
but very strong great for chop and easy on my knees.
haven't weighed my board but feels good and solid under feet, with lots of feel.

+1 for Marty at Delta.

Marty made these for me lighter than his standard build as I needed more flex for my aging knees.

3.5years later they are still my daily ride. Quality product.
