yep callala beach is fantastic . head further down the beach to myola, away from the people it`s a top spot in a north easter.i had an awesome session there last summer and i had it all to myself. go low tide if possible [more launching room].
over the other side at vincentia is where most go but i haven`t kited there. there is also a kite shop in vincentia [kite doctor] give them a call.
hope this helps.

Horible place to kite you should never go there

But, if you must there's this beach I know of that people go to with their kites south of Huskisson over the bridge on the way to Vincentia. People say it works in a N/E wind. If there's wind you might see a couple of kites there.

There's 2 camp sites in Huskisson the one to the north is the better one if your caming in a tent and you can get a spot by the sailors grave (other than that they tend to put the tents against the fences next to the road). The pub hs good food as well.

Kite Doctor has a page of kite spots in the area as well

Hey mate yeah collingwood beach at the entrance of moona moona creek(north end)would probably be the best place to kite in the bay in the summer time, the NE wind seems a little more constant there and you can get flat water behind the point and if your lucky enough to get a massive swell the best left handers of your life..And yes you can kite anywhere in the bay
Watch out for the local crew tho they carry knifes and love cutting lines..

I will be down there as well , Ne winds kick in around 10.00 am and builds as the day goes on , its gets very windy in the bay, if you check the wind readings Point Perpendicular blows its tits off.

Menox if your a good boy I will even show you some better spots , we have a house down there on Watt street near the boat ramp , wind waves and flat water sand bars.

I will be down from xmas to about the 15th or 20th of Jan.
See you soon.

For some reason I dont know why but from shoalhaven heads to JB it gest very windy, I would definitely get a nine as last summer we were nearly blown of the water on our nine mtr kites and a seven would have been nice.

We had about 9 days straight last summer on our 9 mtr kites while I heard in Sydney they were struggling on 13 mtr kites to stay up wind.

I had probably had one of the best seasons kiting last summer , if your willing to drive its well worth it or just stay in Sydney and whinge about how bad the season was.

Hi All

Thinking of heading down to Jervis Bay in late October. What's the chance of NE winds on the bay this early in the season?

Should be no problem by then....but you never know could be a crap season. in 2006 my first year kiting I kited the first 15 days of august in a row mostly on NE'ers.

I was hoping for the ne to be back by the end of this month.

Should be on by October.I remember last year we had already done a few downwinders.Love waking up in the morning looking out across the bay at 9.00am in the morning and seeing the first NE wind lines come cruising across the bay , you know straight away its going to be 7 or 9 mtr weather.

By 10.30am the punters on the beach are already packing up and going home as sand is starting to fly in there faces.Ahh being a kiter you have to love days like that.I know one thing Im sick of this cold ****en winter.

hay Reb,check out Benalong just north of Green Island.... around the head land is 'Monuments' beach.....there are lots of beachs all back towards Ulludulla that have slight angle changes that allow for different wind combinations...be sure to check ya road maps because there are different ways in to all places from the highway.....have a beer at the'Coowee' hotel as you leave Basinview from the Jevis Bay end of the coast, cheers Roo

The coast south of Sydney sounds like an untapped kiters paradise. I've surfed most of the beaches as a young bloke back in the day. I think this summer I'll have to escape the Sydney crowds more often.
