39 degrees celsius today in Perth & not much of a seabreeze forecast

How does the temp over land mass effect the seabreeze?

Or is it the low pressure system off the coast ruining our fun?

Thanks for any helpful meteorlogical info

Big trough bro

Synoptic Situation
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the state with a surface trough off the
west coast.

The way I understand it, once the air over the water gets warm enough it starts cancelling out the seabreeze effect. Seems to be around 32-34 degrees that is the hottest you can expect decent seabreezes to occur at here.

If land heats up faster than water does it also cool down faster?

Thursday and friday had no seabreeze but was over 20knots Easterlies if you could get down there. These warm winds have been some of the best sessions ive ever kited. Uncrowded week day 7am what a way to start the day.

Good one Weta I haven't tried the Park yet but from what I have heard I think you will be happy with it and the 10 should get a good workout this week.

Don't get fooled by the Rotto graph, because its offshore and has such a small landmass it's not uncommon for Rotto to get a decent breeze but we get nothing here, also the weather station is from memory around 46mtrs above sea level.

I reckon Greenpat has pretty much got it right any higher than around 34 and there isn't much chance of a decent seabeeze in Perth.

As for my new kites I'm glad I'm not holding my breath, looks like the season will nearly over by the time they are ready but I'm still happy with my Kima's (despite getting a puncture last weekend ) so might just stick with them this year.

Is it TOO HOT because there is NO SEABREEZE?

Either way, can't take too many days of that in a row!
