For that price surely a plank of wood and an empty wine bottle would do the same ??

It is for my Nephew he is 9. And all the cool kids have got one -

The really good guys can ollie them 3ft off the roller and do heaps of other really good stuff.

Don't need to worry about them getting run over, like on a skateboard.

Well, to their credit they strengthen your core incredibly. I know of a big wave surfer who exercises with one when the swell is down.

And here i was thinking that my new kites were the best thing ever made.

That has got to be the most extreme, entertaining and hardcore sport ever....

Seriously, i think i'd rather go and pull out weeds in my nanna's garden than lower myself to spazzing out in a loungeroom on a bit of polypipe and ply.

Some naive comments above that need no highlighting. You can build your own Indo board for half the price max, there are a few sites around just Google it. These boards are insane for re-hab and core strengthening, also perfect training for surf trips in Winter when time on the actual water is few and far between, not to mention hours of fun.

Great present dude, wish i had one when i was 9! You can see the change in Fannings surfing over the past 18 months from strengthening his core!

Thanks for all the positive feedback

I will give you some feedback on what I think of the Indo Board after xmas. That is after I have tried it and then can give a more informed decision.

Funny how if things don't fit into your box world you bag it straight away.

Just remember what is appealing to you is not always appealing to others.

I am sure you had a yo-yo when you were younger, do you think they are cool now or a waist of money!!!!!!

How many of you have a handle pass bar in your back yard. Yep a bar with some rope tied to it from a tree, how rudimentary. But sure is fun.

Bring on the xmas spirit.

Oh and by the way, how many have got a skim board that you paid $100 for, just a bit of ply too.

sooooooo tru bobjaan and bowski

how good it is to keep an open mind n see somethin new and look at wots good bout it or wot others mite c in it rather than just baggin it

some ppl r so narrow minded and so quik to write somethin off without havin a go or havin a real look at it - hell yeah there's some crap out there but this def not part of it.......

not only is it somethin that is heaps challengin and a heap of fun to do and play on but it is also sensational for core stability, balance, muscel control and activatin a whole lot more muscels than you would normally use

......some of the worlds best surfers, right up there now or in the past ride them - kelly slater and his bro's, pancho sullivan, mike parsons, the king of watermen Laird Hamilton, Australias Layne Beachley and the Wilson brothers, Bruce Irons, Peter Townend and Barton Lynch

but its not just surfers, its wake boarders like 5 times world champ Darin Shaprio, snow skiin all time guru Glen Plake, snowbaorders, skaters, track and field athletes, golfers, moto sports, general fitness.........the list goes on - http://www.indoboard.com/pages/index.php?page_id=riders#surf

i would love to have been involved in designin and inventin a product with a product rider list like this

anyway bobjaan, hope you hav fun on ur board, me n my buddies froth havin a muck around on our baords in the down time in waves or wotever n wenever n just screwin round on it........looking forward to hearin how you go on it mate once u ride it a bit

I got one and love it, something to do when there is now wind or when its raining and cant get out for a ride.
Also good for injuring your mates, dont think I had one leave with out going ass up on their first time using it.
They are alot more fun then they look, im sure all those that bag it would actually enjoy it once they give it a go.
