I wished I was 30 yrs younger! 48 & have taken up kite boarding the end of last winter. Amazing how much you can achieve when you make the time, read forums, get good advice & have a few consistent wind days!

Here at Lord Howe our season has got of to a bang with consistently good kiting conditions. I went directional a few months ago & have finally got the Jibe. I find the directional so much more enjoyable to ride and look forward to further advancing to the next level.

Put my first short gopro clip together and would like to do more! Any hints would be appreciated. Other than staying on the board!

Good work Dave, Looks like a pretty spot to kite. How strong does it get?

Looks like your pulling on the bar too hard check out your centerline... Why is it kinked? Looks much like my transitions that I am working on not leading with my shoulder and such. Load your harness more?

Nice first clip and looks like an excellent spot.
Your leash is set up wrong. Check this link for correct set-up http://pr.cabrinhakites.com/manuals/pdf/2011/01_switchblade_ENG.pdf

The ring that you have your leash clipped to is meant to be retained by the pin of the IDS release on the chicken loop, your leash is only mean to be clipped to the chicken loop, to stop you loosing your chicken loop, or if you unhook.
Contact me if you need more clarification.

You're not the only one who leashes it there.

If you do it that way, just check that the end of the black tubing on the IDS line is inside the body of the Q/R cos I have heard of it jamming on the end of the black tubing when released.

Sorry, my bad - that jamming bit only applies to the 2009 bar with the external IDS line. Wouldn't happen with the 2010 or 2011.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Spoke to a few people today and have modified the way I hook up slightly. Can't wait to get out again.
