Just wandering if anyone used neoprene hoodie with the kite leash attached to the back of the harness for bar passing.... if so does the hoodie get in the way and make it more cumbersome/difficult to manoeuvre the bar and leash when passing the bar or is no major issue?
Are there any other pitfalls with using the hoodie... i.e. difficulty hooking back in etc....Thanks...just to clarify i'm talking about one of these:/images/misc/forum-image-missing.gif

https://www.ion-products.com/water/men/neo-accessories/neo-hoody/

It's a loose hoodie top made out of neoprene material, intended to use as a windshield and extra warmth... it's got cutouts for the spreader bar hook...This is the first one i found online, but there are different brands etc. Local kite shop at St Kilda in Melb sells them too... (not affiliated with any brands, just trying to understand how it impacts riding before buying one).

You can wear it on top of existing wetsuit too... i think would be helpful on chilly spring/autumn afternoons when you wear shorty to give you wind chill protection and minimise risk of hypothermia after prolonged session (been there )

A kiter mate bought one a few years back. Used it twice..said the hoodie filled with water when not wearing it after a crash and because of its loose fit and tight sleeves the rest carried too much water as well when he relaunched.

Looks like a good way to drown. Unless of course you're just doing mobe after mobe in ankle deep water, 12 cameras on you, Rockin the new neoprene hoody, neoprene beanie, and leopard skin leash.

Hi Super Lizard,

The pictured NEO Hoody isn't an ION one, The ION doesn't have the drawn in bottom hem. so the leash will move a lot more freely. The Neo Hoodies are amazing for those chilly winds when worn over the top of your wetty. Absolutely a must have in the early winds of spring in the cold frontal winds.
