I just use a keypod. $50 on egay and lock it under the car where you wouldn't be able to swing a hammer.

Better than the keys up in the wheelwell.

I just got a couple of key blanks and took them to the locksmith. $6 each. Wear one around my neck on a piece of cord. Been working fine for the past 15 years or so. Beats hiding a key under the car or in the bushes.

Picked up a new car recently. Got them to throw in a couple of keys except now they have the special name of "surf key".

You can buy blanks (no transponder) or your electronic key on ebay for $20.

Check if your insurance covers you for leaving the transponder key locked in the car.

the new landcruisers that have the F O B lock will not be able to do this as you need to have the keys a certain distance from the car to lock them.. so ive been told. unless you can de activate the technology

except if you have a towball it's usually for a reason and when you want to use it you then have to dissasemble this thing with the security pin that holds it in looks fiddly and then put the towball in every time you want to use the towball. Only good if you dont want to use your towhitch

Not really, it only takes 30 seconds to remove.

I try to support people that give a good service. This web site is one. I bought the key lock that is advertised on this site. It is only $ 64. Cheap, when you consider you get the weather info for free.
