My SST used to whistle like that..till i changed the fins

This frame is classic...

Imagine rob was strapped in and absolutely flying, and at the same time as contacting with the other kites lines it had just had another pull from the wave resulting in taught lines, add to this no wetsuit and soft skin from an extended seshion in the water, and that would have been a lot worse, possibly deep lacerations. It just shows how quickly things can go pearshaped out there.

Hope all the gear and peeps were ok.

Never saw it coming -- just crashed down straight in front of me at full speed from above. All good in the end, not even any kite damage, despite the tumbling and incredibly, my lines weren't even tangled. I hear Aya's lines didn't fare so well though and took a bit of work...

you can buy and FCS conversion for the SST boxes.. Then you just put what ever fin you like in it..SST fins are sooo crappy..The board really comes alive when you start playing with the fins..I have the G3 in the front and a little fin at the back..you get that perfect amount of slide

COOL. Where'd you get the conversion kit? Love the board but would be great to have the flexibility to have all those fin options.

Rob, if they're mini-tuttle boxes (on the 2008 and before North boards) NSP make na FCS adapter-costs about $30 for a set of 3. Pretty easy to get-heaps of surf shops have em'.
