Anywhere in Perth sell them?

what about the velcro strap thingo that you put around your centre strut with the go pro housing attached.......or is there a specific reason you want it attached to your lines?

I know the pros cons of the line mount, what I'm asking is dose anyone sell them in Perth, all I can find is buying them thu kite power coming from the eastern states which are currently out of stock, would like to get it a bit quicker if possible

The centre line mounts do seem to spin and bounce around a lot unless they are stabilised against the rear lines.

Whatever you do though make sure you don't disable your safety in the process of hooking up the cam mount, and understand that having more things for lines to potentially get tangled on is generally a bad thing.

would have made this relaunch impossible I am afraid :/ bad enough when your steering lines get all twisted without craptacular stuff in your way like that.

I got a strut mount just need to get a new memory card for it :) its the old go pro but I got it cheap enough complete and all so I am going to omit the idea of line mount. I dont want anything on my lines after this happened.

I could post you mine (free cause I will never use it again) from hawaii dunno how long that would take.

I honestly think i could have trained a monkey to relaunch that kite quicker than you did.. Maybe if you put more than 4 PSI in you wouldn't have this trouble

New kites take 8-10 PSI.. I will put 10 in mine if the surf is big because i want the quickest relaunch i can get..
If you dont have a gauge on your pump just keep pumping till the wingtip wont fold over.

I agree that the kite hero line mount is great for pic's but the video is absolutely shocking. I have seen away to improve it, just haven't been motivated enough to bother.

You can simply fix a length of small diameter PVC pipe (Or similar that's sturdy) to the line mount that extends out to your rear lines. The lines need to be able to freely run through some holes in the pipe.

Like I said I can't really be bothered, I also think it would drastically reduce any safety system out there. So be careful when putting this sort of stuff on your gear. Just the line mount by itself is pretty dangerous to use, definitely wouldn't suggest doing it to inexperienced riders.

The kite cams the best but no good for Wide angle Go Pro's. You will look like a dot 100m away.

After a bit of head scratching I rigged up a line mount for the Ozone 2010 bar using standard GoPro bits and an aluminium spacer.



It's pretty ghetto, but it works. The front line safety still works too. And it's got a camera leash.

Got at least one nice shot from the first session. Still hadn't got my hair wet.

I once used the Oregon Scientific cam; it a small waterproof video cam that you can attach to one of your kite struts but found the image was OK but a bit far away, it was very stable though when we tried to attach it to the lines or on a head came it became very blurry, the other problem with it was you can only turn it on and off by bring the kite down to the ground. The good thing is they are quite cheap, ALDI was selling them and also Ebay has them

The centre line mount works great. Yeah, you do get the occasional odd photo...

Stabilize in postprocessing chaps - google Deshaker.
