hoping for a few quick replies to this yes or no or weirdo.
yes - thin part of straps should be on inside of foot as per photo.

weirdo- fat part of strap to front of board
please respond quick -
Well it's a Australia Day Friday night and you want to know which way my straps face? I'm happy to tell you that I too am a weirdo and I like the fat to the front stop hogging them waves
How they are in your photo seems to be how Cabrinha have them in a number of photos and videos, so yes, and how I put them on my double agent...
Just saw some surfer dude from Hawaii in his film "Take Every Wave" called Laird.
anyway he was really good, seemed to have street cred with Gerry Lopez and progressed from strapless surfing, to windsurfing, to velcro-soled booties, tow surfing with straps and finally boots and hydrofoil. Crazy plot development and highly recommended watching for those wanna-be surfers![]()
dunno if it helps but i just got some slingshot dualies straps for my new twintip and had to ask myself the same question and look at marketing photos of them on the board because it looks backward to me.... the thicker part goes on the inside of your foot

Is this the video you were talking about?
Does anyone have an opinion on the best orientation of these straps?.
Would you set straps up with the fat part of strap on inside or outside off foot.
what would Laird do?
Wainmann make asymmetrical straps also. I reckon they are great.
