Ive never tried rosebud so not sure how flat it gets there.
Rye with a northerly still getts pretty rough.
Well it does at about 15 - 25 knots. especially around the sand bars.
is rosebud the same?
I was sort of thinking flat flat water like the lucky buggers get in the videos
not glass but not chop that ripps the back foot out lol

Ive heard a rumour which i belives has turned true that Devils bend resivour is opening up to fishing. I wonder if you get out on a kite???
that would be pretty cool

Ah Right'O
Ive never bothered with tides if I can get out thats it im there.
Not fussed with riding in the chop and crap.
Like what I tell other people with water skiing, ski in anything the more you ski in rough crap the stronger skiier you will be. and when you get glass youll rip up heaps better.

Though it would be nice to have smooth water haha
still saving pennys for the the new kite which should take less wind.
looking forward to it.

If you want that flat flat water like the lucky buggers get in the videos the closest spot is the river at Sandy Point. That, or up in the kiddie pool at St Kilda when the tide is high and the wind has pushed water up.

try point henry on an easterly or westerly. super flat like the vids. if not best bet is altona on high tide or Inverloch on a low tide.

Sweet so theres a few then to explore and try out.
I took me kite to lake Glenmaggie (Heyfield) couple years back when the water levels were a bit lower in the year.
that was good fun. And Another lake cant remember the name though lol
