Just talking generally not about your situation..... It's a common place for boards to crack around the tail rail. I fixed a mulcoy board I owned and bought off the rack several times in this area. I'd fix one spot and the crack would appear nearby. Trouble is with that finish, youll never know if it was an oversand during construction. When I get a custom I get each layer of glass, deck and base overlapped around rail and ask the sander to go easy to prevent this. Rolling your heel side fin out, delams under feet, creases and snaps are all part of kiting on lightweight equipment. Each one of these problems can be reduced, but there is a trade off between strength and weight. I'd prefer a board with life to flex and dent, rather than have rock solid construction.
Not saying it's the cause, but I think most of my board damage happens when I lose my board and its washed up on the beach in a shorey. Put the board in the car and wonder how the hell I've got damage in a certain place.
Contact them for advice. Maybe it has happened before. At the very least you may get some repair tips. Wouldn't stress, should be an easy invisible repair.
