Hey Slack,

Yep, lotta wind up here! We had a smokin' day yesterday with 18-23 knots all day pretty much. Just boardies and rashies, nice and warm in the water and out.

Today was a bit lighter to begin with which a lot of crew were happy with as they wanted to see the light wind potential of many of the kites. Seriously good fun.

Loads of kites to try:

Ozone C4's
Ozone Catalysts
Core GTS
Core XR
North Rebel
North Vegas
Naish Park
Naish Bolt
Naish Torch
Slingshot Rally
Slingshot RPM
Wainman Hawaii
Liquid Force Envy
LF Havoc
Ocean Rodeo Razor
Airush One
Airush Vapor X

Not to mention all the boards. It's been great conditions, everyone chilled and perfect conditions. Congrats to all the Exmouth Crew Scott and Emma, James from Exy Yacht Club and all the other for their daily assistance getting gear set up and packed. What a legendary team!

I wont review anything as I am biased as hell [}:)] Plenty of others who have been riding can fill you all in on their faves!

More tomorrow.....

Bumped into DM ^^ as he rolled up for "work".

We had awesome conditions prior to the expo. No wind, but swell for the first few days, so SUP's saved the day - 5 hours of hooting and having a great time. Caught the most awesome wave of my life on the bommie off the lighthouse. A thick heavy gnarly beast. Noice.

The boyz would go fishing in the morning, and caught one mackie .. problem was a shark bit two thirds of it before they got it into the boat. No shortage of sharks. Pays not to think about them too much, but sure improves your gybes.

Then the wind arrived! Kitesurfing was outstanding. Only light at around 18-23 knots. I missed last season due to injury, so was brilliant to get out there but so good to re-wire everything.

Between the big mob of us that went up, we had a good swag of kites to demo, and they all flew fantastic - shall put reviews & photos up over the next few days as time allows.

I flew:
- Slingshot Rally 8m
- North Rebel 10m
- RRD Religion 8m
- Airush 10m
..was also Cabrinha Switchblade 8m & 10m

Tried the new Naish Thorn 132 board which was also awesome.

Highlights included seeing Aussie freestyle champ Dan Anderson (North) busting out amazing moves, along with Ozone rider Able doing brilliant stuff - really entertaining, including a new move .. don't know what is called but it entailed riding the twintip like a surfski (including gybes)

What a week .. gonna be awesome for the Expo, as a good 3m swell due on Tuesday.

Just one of the cars loaded with goodies:

Put a CamRig in Dan Andersons kite .. this is at Sandy Bay:

The Expo has been an awesome event again this year!
Perfect conditions, perfect location, perfect company and some great new gear!

The final presentation night will be at the Exmouth Yacht Club on Friday, 8th Oct from 7pm. All crew welcome.
Licensed bar, a live band and hamburgers will be available ($6).

Thanks also to Darren and Jason and all participants who made the big effort to get to Exmouth and thanks for supporting our local community club.

The event has finished a couple of days early due to mother nature.

I will be doing a big write up for Kite Mag's next edition on the Expo, so check it out.

Have fun.
