I've had to deal with something similar to this a couple of times. Always fun.
Not sure how you did it, but the best tip I was given was to leave the lines connected to the kite, if possible. Make the untangling heaps easier.

Yeah,
Nothing worse than just putting all that away for next time and when next time comes, it's blowing its tits off and your hangging to get out, but first you have to deal with the cats fur ball.

I had this happen to me when I first learnt. I reckon its the sole reason I'm so absolutely anally retentive when it comes to running lines and packing them away. Usually run them twice setting up and at least once packing up. I also make sure that the end of the bar that the lines are secured at is the one that goes in the pouch down the side of the kite bag so that the ends dont get caught on stuff during transport.

I honestly had flashbacks of that situation when I saw that pic.

The best part is when the sun is setting, your working on the fur ball and getting really angry then somebody want's you to land there kite.

I don't see any tight knots in that lot so it should be a fairly easy one to sort out.
I'm with Galah on this one; two beers tops.

Even the most horrific messes i've had usually only take 3 or 4 beers at most to untangle. It's just a matter of determining if it's going to be faster to detach the lines from the bar or not.

mmmmm seen some slow drinkers in my time.

Hard to do both unless you have a straw.

I think id drink 10 just determining if it's going to be faster to detach the lines from the bar or not., then go to the shop and buy a new bar and lines.

If only it was.
It would be GOLD,GOLD,GOLD for lotofwind ,5 olympics in a row.

As its not really a team sport, If you didnt win you would have no one to blame but yourself.
