That does not look real at all, especially the first 2 or 3 secs after he takes off.

wind direction seems to have changed a lot between take-off and when he lands the kite.

i bet he doesn't even have kiting license...

if thats fake then its a bloody good job in the editing and fx, even have the shadows as he lands in the carpark

totally FAKE. Look at the physics as he launches, and then the frames as he floats through the air. When he goes off frame then comes back on is the easiest way to tell. Also Blownaway, you dont see the landing, plus he doesnt have his skateboard on (which was stickytaped to his feet).

The launch is real in many ways, however if you pause the frame you see his kitelines are about 2" thick though?? Following this they hide the kite totally. All he has done is grabbed onto a ledge or got lifted up by a third party about 1 metre. They have then freezed this frame on launch and in after effects added a motion tween of his shape off frame. By doing this they have then given themselves an easy canvas to insert a CGI figure or even another layer of someone kitesurfing over the top of the existing layer.

Again on the so called "landing" they have once again moved the camera away from the figure, then inserted the real person in and moved the camera back onto the subjects on the ground.

Lastly, do you really think if someone was going to be hardcore enough to do this they would document it with a useless handycam that doesnt even capture the entire sequence!?? Not to mention all these fake videos then have the video turning to the socalled spectator going "arghhhh" to liven it up. Looks to me like another lift softdrink commercial, or someone related to the crew that did the bomb in the water and surfing, or the shark wakeboarding.

I hate these videos that take the credit out of the real hardcore daredevils. Sorry blownaway, your videos are normally awesome, but kids like Keahi that do, do this crazy sort of stuff would get annoyed when they see these tools faking it up taking the credit out of the real legends of the sport.

well i just got home from work and tried it on my computer at home and it works, so must be some kind of permission/firewall prevention. Try it on another computer
