Quad concave, with reverse V through the tail and quadruple steps for flex are the best boards period....

Moons, more flex is better and more forgivving on landings... the channels also do the same thing... channels grip well on the water too... Stiff flat board will not be so nice to ride in chop... ideal for some very flat water and speed riding...
I had a semi stiff board with flat bottom like yours, and now i ride more flex with channels, but there is no signifficant difference in upwind ability. It all comes down to a rider in the end. I love channels as it's much healthier for my knees on landings, but i feel that the flat bottom had a bit more precision.
