But is there any good options for the rest of the gear? If i wear my Kite bag on my back, it sits very heavily on my back wheel.. Any ideas appreciated.
I carry mine in a backpack on my back but it rest on my luggage rack so its not an issue for me. Fits two kites (takoon one). I think ozone also make a big one.
problem is I'm far too cool to put a lugguage rack on the back of my bike.. makes sense though. looks like my fancy downhill mtbike is up for a conversion to a practical mode of transport. now i'm going to have a dorky bike and drive a ford festiva trio. its getting harder and hard to uphold my coolness. maybe it will help to buy a gath and either wear it or for ultra coolness, carry it on my bike handle bars..

I already lost the 5% of coolness I had left riding with my wetsuit to the beach with my harness still on, board on the side and bag on my bag. Had enough strange looks to now classify as being negatively cool. Still gets me to the beach faster and no parking issues.
I used to ride down with my harness on, pump akwardly cliiped to kite bag, same with the lines, that went on my back. Carried to board with one of my hands and shoved any extra crap into the board bag. Now i have a car
thanks for the replies both help and manicskier's. Tobes, I'll check that trailer out. I reckon carrying a board in you hands whilst riding any distance in windy conditions would be a bit of a struggle. Trailer looks very quick to take on and off. Thanks. PS lots of Green arrows for my part of the world this weekend.. woooohooooo
Ive used my daughters ride behind baby buggy before. Does not look too cool but can fit in loads of gear (3 kites & 2 boards), it is really easy to attach and disconnect from my bike quickly. It also has the benefit of people letting you out at junctions as they think there is a baby in there!
this is the Kyoto project is made from 3 mountain bikes, 1 hills hoist a small table, some left over tarp, half a box of welding rods and one days effort . its the most comfortable bike i have ever ridden, it will carry 3 kites , surfboards and tt's and comes with an am/fm wireless radio . with the motor going it will cruise at 25k's in 25knts so getting home after a big day on the water is no problem . it can take a lot of weight in the front with the double wheel setup i have had 2 people stand in it and it is still very rideable . i dont use the motor very much as it is better to ride to the beach for a bit of a warm up
