just get some "wicked" stickers on it and get some backpackers to drive it across
Seriously though a grand sounds good, I sent a van from Adelaide to Perth about three years ago by train and it cost me around $800.

I did Sydney to Perth 18 months ago. Got it dropped off at the yard in Homebush then picked it up in Kewdale. Cost me $1100. Can't remember the company. Just google.

Or you can look putting it onto a ship rather than a truck or train. I used to GWS Customs to move a boat that way. A lot cheaper. Google it.

keep calling you should find someone who will do it far far cheaper... most of the trucks heading east are relatively empty so its cheaper to send it that way than it is to send stuff to here.. my mate sent a falcoon over to sydney for when he goes to visit his grandpa for something stupid like 3 or 4 hundred.

What Charl said.
Back in the day Jayde Transport used to do our cherry pickers (bigger than ur average auto) for about $400.
Different story coming back.
Ring around for backload rates. They are always out there.

Hi Nickoff,

I did the ring around a year or so ago and found quotes from $3000 to $700. I went with the cheaper option.

I used these guys to get a Jayco Camper trailer from East side of Melbourne to Perth, they were the cheapest and have a good service.

Give them a call or email them. They are a small family owned company who regularly do runs across with caravans etc. They specialize in delivering caravans for the manufacturers in Vico. They need back loads so you should be able to get a pretty decent rate. Good luck!
