Yep you will pretty much get it to yourself at the spots around Perth, Lancelin etc on that weekend.
The camper option is well worth checking out, we hired a late model Maui Toyota Hiace camper last year for three weeks in Tassie, it cost $138 per day from memory, which sounded very expensive but worked out great as you could stay wherever you wanted and saved money on food by doing
all most of our own cooking (Britz do the same one).
There is a storage area over the front seats that holds a couple of kites a board and luggage no probs.
