Judging by the turn out at the Kitestock Surf Clinic presentation there will be lots interested to hear that Ben Wilson will be back next week offering a free wave riding clinic at Contacios Beach on Tues. Wed. or Thurs. (first suitable day) at wind o'clock.
The clinic will be followed by a quick downwinder to Trigg where will meet up for a debrief sausage sizzle.
Phone 0430 966 397 to book a place - places allocated 1st in best dressed.

Jokes aside, I had a great time today! Thanks for giving your time and energies for us. Paid my dues with an inverted kite and some small bruises on shins and forearm.

Not sure at all about my attempts at 360s, 180s or even tacks and little ollies but Ben and Ryland were very patient instructors. Thank you! I've certainly got more material to play with and I'll be trying to get 'whipped' onto a wave now and park the kite.

BBQ and beer, decent wind and magnificent sunset all good too, enjoyed with some awesome company. Thanks Phil!! (at least for the first two unless you've got some connections we don't know about... you do look a bit like the Huey pics on the Kitestock merchandise....)

I feel the looove!!!

(Will upload a little vid tomorrow)

Thanks to dot com, Cracker and Puppet for an excellent clinic yesterday. There was a wide range of levels and the guys catered for everyone. Ben spent time explaining kite position very thoroughly with the aid of a training kite and then both Ry and Ben both showed examples of riding down the line. The group was then divided into two based on a gybing clinic and tips from Ryland as people were riding. They were also available to give tips on anything you asked about, mine was on unstrapped jumps with grabs.
I also saw a strange "noise" in the sky. A low aspect open C SLE prototype with a very different bridle configuration than whats on the market. Looks the goods.

10/10.

Thanks to ben, ry and phil for the clinic
Perfect wind for practicing some new skills

Ps. Did anybody join with the French dutch backpackers for their full moon party. At 6.30 they were having shots of honey liquor so not sure if they got to see the full moon, hehe

Yea, and I got laid!! BTW French flag = vertical Blue / Red / White. Horiz = Dutchies. Swear one guy looked like Ruben Lenten!

(Actually, I just rounded the night off with a quiet gelati . Stamford Arms looks like it has had an upmarket makeover. Mind you, I never was brave enough to venture in before because it looked d a r k.)
