in fairness, it seems to me that in surfingboye's case at least, it's become fashionable to red thumb him whatever he says, even on those few occasions when it's helpful, constructive, or mildly entertaining. this is entertaining in itself, and so fooosh, i'd think of him not so much as an outcast, but as a necessary, nay, an integral evil: a whippingboye.
then why dont people use them anymore. i have seen some comments written by certain people which deserve to be devoured by the red thumbs. yet, they get off scotch free, perhaps because people have maxed out their daily thumage.
