I had the pleasure of watching a mates copy of Autofocus over the weekend. Has anything since come close to the footage seen in this flick? He's riding a pre-switchblade C kite so it must be circa 2004-5. It was so many years ago, surely things have evolved? Can anyone enlighten me to any recent films that are as good as this for wakestyle. I already own unhooked 2.

Nah theres a lot of C kite stuff in there, It was all filmed at the start of the Crossbow evolution - The days of the Liquid Force Spectrum 2's and Best Yarga's... Pretty Sure Dre is riding a revolver or even Co2 lol - He was one of the ones to resist the Bow kite movement (Like many of us did back then) And even though there was the option to ride Switchblades, he chose to stick with C's untill Cabrinha stopped making them...

Since then - Nothings come out like it really... Autofocus was intended to be a one of a kind movie - There's been some attempts and the closest thing i've seen recently is the F-One movie Addikt which is free online.

Autofocus was the first kite DVD i bought back in '06.

he was def riding c-kites (and big ones at that) 17m and 20m kites are seen in the film!!!!!!

it was shot in Antigua, at his crib(in the bay) and Cabarete in the surf.

I have probably seen it nearly 100 times, and agree that nothing similar has been released since. Although the F-one vid is SICK!!!!

I especially like his HUGEEEE crail grabs of the kicker, whilst his girlfriend films in her micro-kini on the ladder!!!!!

Autofocus, is one of a kind, nothing has come close yet. The first taste of the dark side for many. Its the one kite movie I keep going back to.
Looking forward to seeing a movie that comes close.
