After the BIG one of Ben Wilson on his JEEP Noise kiting that monster at Cloudbreak I came across this one.



Thats my nephew at a break he tells me is called Frigates Pass ?
Been surfing for about 15 yrs - reckons this was the 'all-time' best ever.
Just one of a few different breaks they surfed on a 10 day stay.
Reckons it was way bigger where he was than it looks in this pic taken from the beach

Looks like FIJI is the GO.

Hey Puppet, I surfed Frigate's heaps in the 90's. Closest beach to FP, is about 15 km away. Yes, great place. The reef does not hold the same curve as other Fiji reefs and has a deadly section because of. Regardless, it is still a world class wave, for sure. I hope "Pena" is around and still running one of the camps.

nephew: if you know how to surf you dont need a kite !
me: Oh yer. Well if Cloudbreak was on why werent you there if ur that good?
nephew: too many kiters spoiling the place for us real surfers !
