Our good friend Andy Regan the distributor of Slingshot and Mystic has been ill for a few weeks. Originally thought to be a pinched nerve, but after having an MRI they found a tumour on his spine.

Andy has been hospitalized and is under heavy medication for the pain, and not up to communication with anyone at this stage.

Andy has built a great team around him, and in regards to Slingshot and Board Crazy it is business as usual and everything is still on track for the upcoming season.

His family has expressed appreciation for the support so far, and the respect for their privacy at this time.

We all look forward to seeing Andy back soon.

Another kiteboarder who had a recent brush with cancer, Bruce E, called last night and suggested it would be good to allow all those wanting to pass on their good wishes and support for Andy via this forum.

That way we can let him know how much support he has from the kiteboarding network.

For sure! It was very upsetting to hear the news of your condition Andrew. It's obvious whenever I enter the shop that you're a very busy man with the business, and yet you always make the time to keep me up-to-date with all the news & technical stuff going on with Slingshot & I'm sure you're so generous with your time with others also. It's an exciting role you play, so involved with such a great sport. Dealing with (generally) happy people, thrilled with this marvelous gear. But sadly, in catering for everyone elses joy, you seem to be the one that misses out, with so much time devoted to the business. I want to see that change. I sincerely wish you a full & speedy recovery, & please, when you are well, I want to see you out there with me, carving it up! Keep your spirits up Andrew.
