Hey Carbine wasn't it you that said there was no real difference between an old directional and the new design surfboards that so many people are now riding in the waves .

Just like the difference in the boards ,the difference in the kites is not so much in the way they look ,but in the way they handle .
1st generation was the design that Bruno has the patent on and that was offered to everybody last year .
This is what Cabrinha have released in the form of the Crossbow . It comes with heavy steering and relaunch problems when it drops on the water with the leading edge towards you .
2nd generation is an improvement and refinement of this design having had the chance to test and ride several proto's and the CB itself .
Cabrinha had the guts to come out and release thier kite early and it has paid off for them , all the other kite companies have chosen to refine the kite .
Airush have built a large number of protos and done a lot of testing which has resulted in improvements , as it does .
Personally I will be sticking to C kites for a while as the biggest advantage I see in the bow kites is the safety and very large wind range . In Perth we have stable seabreezes that reduce the need for these characteristics amongst experienced riders .
I am looking more for performance

and want to ride waves unhooked

, once unhooked from a bow kite you loose the advantages .
I believe that these kites will offer a lot of people a huge amount of benefits and will make kiting a lot safer overall .
