Thanks dbabicwa i knew it was around this date but wasn't sure.

IMHO Marc epitomized what is great about kiting. He was totally stoked in the sport and shared that stoke. He was very experienced and very willing to share that experience. He looked out for fellow kiters making sure you were enjoying the stoke and if you were in trouble he'd be there to make sure you were okay. He Loved Kiting.

Sadly missed but Never Forgotten.,

Drove past Cottesloe this arvo. Gusting to 40 knots, onshore so I was glad to see there were no kiters out. RIP Marc.

Beautiful shrine to commemorate him. What ever dimension he exists in now I hope it has perfect surf and steady wind.

I noticed his memorial as I was setting up yesterday, it reminded me of what had happened and what could happen in the conditions such as yesterday. It also reminded me to keep an eye on my fellow kiters.

Rip brother I never knew you but our shared love makes us kindred spirits. I am sure he would have been happy it was nuking and people were getting amongst it (safely) yesterday!!
