I going to volunteer to be a support kiter, hang around the back of the field and make sure the slow pokes make it- tell em all to get a move on!

It's free to register, but if your name gets pulled out of the hat, then you'll front up the $150. You'll also need a PFD.

Question to last years runners, are you mostly cutting upwind on your way over? Or running on the downwind angle?

Hey WAKSA, how many names ended up in the hat?
Just as a matter of interest what shape/size/length board do you guys find works well for the open ocean?
We are looking at doing some serious offshore downwinders over here and dont want to find out the hard way.

Here is a few names that are in off the top of my head, get funky first name out of the hat, LouD, puppet, mike bergman, will phillips, slack, swinging in the wind, richswing,lambroast. tgladman, my memory isn't very good but I do remember my name wasn't called out so if anyone can't make it I am happy to take your place……Nuh seriously congrats to those that made the cut…Oh and did I mention how many sharks there are around lately. 
So dome get some sort of official email or phone call from the Queen?? If we have made it??

62 places were available for the general public after the sponsors, last years top 10, girlies, etc were taken out, and about 162 entries I think. 53% chance of getting in.
Draw was legitimate, out of a Gath helmet for all to see....

I am sure most of the waksa crew have day jobs, so we just need to wait till they find some time to put the list together and officially release it to the gerneral public
I forgot to add that although I think the names I mentioned are right I have been wrong before and it might be wise not to get too excited until the official lists are out.
