Im not going to rag out the company as what needs to be said already has been in the past and i am posting this up without contacting my retailer or north as with my PERSONAL experiences this has lead to very disappointing and time consuming results. As a disclaimer i have always had positive and admiral relations with north RETAILERS in perth but they seem more and more like the helpless middle man on each occasion.

Ok that aside, there is a MANUFACTURING defect on north fuses sizes 9m and up (to the best of my knowledge having spoken and heard from others, my 7m is unaffected) where the furthermost back line attachment on the front line bridle rubs against the leading edge causing it to tear after maybe a seasons use. This in turn will cut your bladder and you know the rest.. The 7m's protective strip seem to have been placed correctly as to prevent this.

i am lucky to have been alerted to this matter before the latter has happened but as you can see from the 2nd picture my left bridle has eaten through already after 6 months ( kite was bought new in November last year). Im just going to get a patch sown on by a repairer as yeah... well dealing with north is not pleasant.

Thanks for the warning.
Checked mine today and found it has worn through on the RHS of the kite and on the LHS of the kite there is a scuff mark where the line has rubbed but not rubbed through. Mine is a 12mt.
Seems to be a design fault on the 2011 Fuse as there has been other posters on other kite forums warning of the same defect.
Wish I had of spotted this a few weeks back when I bought it 2nd hand from a kite shop but anyway thats life. I will get some patches put over this area where the lines rub.
Might be a good idea for the kite shops selling these second hand to check this area on the kite.
A bit of a let down as I am very happy with this kite....great bottom end and great grunt.
Does anyone know if the 2012 kites are going to do the same??

Be interesting if North are going to do anything!!!

Try ringing your retailer! North has been aware of this problem for at least three months and I believe dealers are getting patches sewn on for customers free of charge.

Good service from both North and the dealers in my eyes.
