,it wasn’t a cut more a puncture then a rip out at a different angle kind of looking injury, they had to cut some of my underlying skin away to clean it up a little, even the nurses were impressed by how it looked when they first seen it! At least they didn’t point and laugh....

Cheers jb for the message, I think it was just a freak of nature accident, any QR system with a metallic release i.e. last years as well could do it. It’s the nature of a metal QR that when in the resetting angle they turn into blunt fish hooks.. So a lot of other kites systems could do the same thing if holding them at the wrong time in the wrong angle with the wrong wind and with the wrong 5th line setup!
I know its not good publicity to post on a forum for north but I think these things should be put out there so users of north kites as well as other sim designs QR's can take note.
A bigger concern is how the QR sometimes catches on that bit of angle as displayed in first picture i posted.
