I notice there's always a couple of these foils for sale, and prices seem very low considering the build quality and materials.

This leads me to suspect they're not a comfortable foil for most people to ride?

Anyone (not a pro/racer/kfa rep) tried one and have some feedback?

Thanks Midtide that was exactly the kind of feedback I was interested in. I seriously love my Axis freeride foil but I'm starting to think about 2nd foil (or 3rd lol).

Probably sounds weird and maybe greedy but I think I'd like a faster foil, and a slower foil than the Axis.

I'm interested that you recommend strapped for the FF because the foils are sharp.. as someone who normally rides unstrapped I'd probably feel safer being able to get right clear in a stack...

Having two foils is a great way to go. When you want to go fast, you want real fast, might be a prick to gybe or tack but in lighter wind with a bigger kite it's brilliant.
And when you want to go slow, go real slow, carve the waves or wind swell on a big wing and tiny kite. Doesn't matter how strong the wind is, your in control having a ball.
It's like 2 different sports, but they complement each other. Going places on a surf foil is boring, so slow, but put a thin wing and long mast on and your smashing up wind at 30kph and crazy angles the back downwind at 40-50 kph.

I am also finding my surf wing ( NP medium) is not too slow at all, I don't ride with a gps so can't give exact numbers but the speed can be pretty solid
