Help! I received a replacement rear wing for my Slingshot hover glide. It's a different shape. Now, to ride, I have to place my front foot only 15 Cm in front of back foot (previously I would keep it under front hook) and can't place more than a few hundred grams of pressure forward because the nose dives. the mast is in the exact same place - right to the back.Am I missing something or did I incorrectly install the wing? see photos for details. I am keen to get back on the water.
That's the wrong stab call em back and get them to send you the small one. That's for surf/sup/wing. Just a warehouse issue I'd say, once you get the 42cm it will be sweet again.
As the others said, that is the SUP/Surf stabilizer. It is designed to be mounted *under* the fuselage, not on top like the 42. Just flip the shim so it is on the bottom of the fuse and it should work, but you really should have the smaller stabiliser. Flipping it should at least get you riding if you need in the meantime.
Thanks guy. I can confirm that I have been sent the wrong wing and the one I was sent is designed to be at the front upside down. The forward Infinity wing. I di manage to get riding by standing on 1 leg right over the mast. Not fun! A new one on it's way!
