I'm looking to upgrade from my north speedster (which was excellent to learn on, as most of the reviews say) and am looking for a foil that I can kite on but could also tow into waves on.

Do anyone know what size foil you need for tow in surfing? I'm not interested in prone foiling but would like to option to tow into waves with the kite foil I buy.

Fun to watch.. But idea is same on most foils this size/aspect ratio... So not too lifty profile... The ability to alter the angle of the tail foil is one of the keys to broadening the usable speed range of front wing.. Armstrong have made this really obvious.
I am working on lifting my front wing loading at the moment so going smaller. I need to dominate the foil more... Once I have learnt the foot moves will likely be going back to a larger wing.. 72 pies ATM..
So if u can tack easy then a foil wing u cn comfortably kite on in 15-25knts.. With flexible shim options would nail tow in IMO

I would say the big question is, how fast (read big) are these waves you want to tow into. Anything from a fast kite foil, to a big sup foil might be appropriate depending on the speed (wave size)

I have a Moses 590 and 633. Great for kitesurfing but there's a few other larger wing's for surfing

I have the duotone spirit carve 1250 and 950 wings to kitefoil in the waves. The 950 is amazing and can handle bigger waves and high speeds but still has a decent amount of glide so reckon something around that size would work well for tow surfing too.

I mostly foil an Axis 820 wing although I have smaller wings as well.. It's a big slower wing but carves nicely and works great with smaller kites, had a ball catching swell at Mooloolaba yesterday with the 4m Peak 4 in 20kts. I reckon it would tow in nicely. There's heaps of axis wings traded in the foiling components section so once you have the surf series setup, can collect wings..
