Any locations on the GC where you can foil (apart from the ocean) where someone not greatly experienced (can do runs either way but not mastered jibes yet) can go?

We went for a weekend recently and took our foil, we ended up at the place the locals call Shearwater, which is at runaway bay on the broadwater. The tide was low so there isn't much room before you have to tack and I hit the bottom a few times. Also hectic run out tide against the wind made me owerpowered but the locals seem to make it work and foil there regularly. I am spoilt in Perth I think.
