OK, I'm back from a feed at the 7 mile.
Last year I got dragged along to the "Have a Go" day at Burswood by some of the oldies we know.
Its a big promotional outdoorsy do that is primarily aimed at the grey nomad age group to get the oldies away from the couch/ bar/ deathbed and get a life doing stuff.
There was a lot of stuff you could "Have a Go" at like archery, canoes, kayaks, rock climbing, golf, metal detecting and displays from hobby clubs, gliding clubs, hiking and even high risk past times such as bootscooting, bellydancing and croquet.

While I was messing about in the canoes and kayaks I had a thought- why not cobble up a display of Landyachts with a couple of Blowies from Perth Blokarts, a Club 88 from Sandgropers, and 2 of our Lefroy mini's.
Print out some info handouts, set up the landies around a tent- telly with some videos playing of landyachts messing about at Lefroy, Walyungup and Gnangara.
Then I thunk that we might as well invite the rest of the Seabreeze mob along!
As the canoes and kayaks were being used in the lakes at Burswood park- with the 'yaks in the lake next to the Camfield way roundabout- I figured if we could score a space there we could have a couple of windsurfers and stand up thingies sharing the lake too!
I have no idea whats involved- but the next "Have a Go" day is Wednesday 14th of November.
wotcha reckon??
