Even if thats real, it doesn't mean phones are bad for you. I've never seen anyone using 4phones at once.

^^^... ok, but, how long do you use your phone for... how often do you use your phone... and when you do, you have it pushed to the side of your head.....

with those big elephant ears and his four arms, i bet ganeesh could use four phones at once, someone better warn him, especially if, like the rest of his indian brethren, he's probably a tele-marketer....

calls himself steve from melbourne...

I think the reason popcorn would pop like that, would be because of the constructive interference of the phones waves when they are arranged like that.
The amplitude of the waves in the middle would be up to 4times the size of a normal phone wave when arranged like that.
I bet the popcorn wouldn't pop if it was only one phone, no matter how long or close it was held to the popcorn.

I hate to tell you guys...
My brother and I and mum and mates just tried it; haha we're such idiots. BUT.... I hate to break ur lil popping hearts,,,

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/2100340/Mobile-phone-popcorn-'hoax'-hits-YouTube.html

"The four clips, all of which were posted in the last few days, show corn kernels exploding after just a few seconds of being surrounded by ringing phones.

Despite the scientific impossibility of the stunt - mobile phones do not produce anywhere near enough heat to cook popcorn - some YouTube commenters appear convinced that the clips provide more evidence of the dangers of technology.

Most bloggers who have watched the videos agree that they are hoaxes, but opinion is divided about how and why they were staged.

Suspicion that they are part of a viral advertising campaign has been fuelled by similarities between the clips, and evidence that their amateurish, home-made feel is contrived.

"Each of the three videos have a similar stagey look and feel with three or four people sitting around a table," commented Steve Bass on his PC World blog. "

etc.etc.
