Here's a VN commodore painted with the same (well similar) method.

forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/diy-painting-your-car-with-rollers.76882/

He does not use a brush after rolling the paint on though, and still gets a perfect finish.

I actually attempted this on an old VS commodore I had... I got fed up about half way through but I got a couple panels looking damn near perfect. No clear coat or anything required.

Great Job, but I can say through experience(boats), you don't have to be a "master". Anybody would not find it too difficult to get that finish.
Other than good preparation, the type of paint is the key. They make these paints purely for that method of application.

Thanks for that , great method .

Gloss enamel finish is top of the range in house painting , preparation and thin top coats is the key.

Don't have sound here , was that polyuothane or enamel ?

That is a sh!thot paint job tbh!!!

I was looking at some expensive brushes at bunnings the other day, it would take a bit of time but it's all in the prep.

Wattyl paints do a two pack paint that can get the same finish it has a self levelling property additive just like the clear coat they add to surf boards. I worked with it upside on all the white areas on the headliner on my yacht.

What he said. Nice job, but easy done with a self levelling product and a steadyhand. The coatings I spend all day putting on work the same way, and the boss seems to think im some form of monkey.

^^^ You got a stripper pole in your yacht?! Awesome!

As for brush & roller, a good wet-coat with a slow-curing flow paint & anything's achievable...if you have patience & a good technique like that guy does.
