i rate it as one of the best 3 live albums ever.
the others 2 are "live and dangerous" and "from here to eternity" by thin lizzy and the clash.
In my top 3 also dmitri
But mine are - Beats of Bourbon - from the belly of the beast and
Dave Graney - lure of the tropics - this is Dave before his full dandy crap with a kick arse band that rock
Its kinda strange vibe as it was recorded as he opened for Husker Du's Bob Mould. The crowd are definitely not in his palm - the outtakes on the re released version are hilarious as he takes on the clearly unimpressed crowd ( your mother was John Hewson and your father was John Hewsons right hand - yes it was a long time ago)
The ten minute title track is pure gold
when we were 18 -19 year olds ragin out, this was the go to album , ...... just listened to it again , wow still cant believe how good it is , best live rockin roll album ever ...... every track is a killer .......
best track ............ Midnight rambler !!!!!!!!![]()
Reminds me of their set list for the 1973 concert at Randwick Racecourse.
They arrived for the concert coming down the main straight in a carriage drawn by 4 white horses!
Pretty much at their peak - great concert ![]()

Sands, not to many bands around that you look at a concert playlist like that and know every song, yep just about every party they were played loud, with lashings of bourbon, beer and dope.... Ahh the 70's... A hedonistic era, "same as it ever was".. I guess.
Oki, ha ha yeah i think i remember something like that ...........
"same as it ever was" yep i do remember them as well at the tennis center house lights on for the whole show .... Teena waymouth [ sorry spelt name wrong ...im just lazy and illiterate ] was a really big shoooooooooooow.![]()
