i rate it as one of the best 3 live albums ever.

the others 2 are "live and dangerous" and "from here to eternity" by thin lizzy and the clash.

In my top 3 also dmitri

But mine are - Beats of Bourbon - from the belly of the beast and

Dave Graney - lure of the tropics - this is Dave before his full dandy crap with a kick arse band that rock

Its kinda strange vibe as it was recorded as he opened for Husker Du's Bob Mould. The crowd are definitely not in his palm - the outtakes on the re released version are hilarious as he takes on the clearly unimpressed crowd ( your mother was John Hewson and your father was John Hewsons right hand - yes it was a long time ago)

The ten minute title track is pure gold

"Gimme Shelter" the movie is still probably one of the best rock'n'roll movies made.

Sands, not to many bands around that you look at a concert playlist like that and know every song, yep just about every party they were played loud, with lashings of bourbon, beer and dope.... Ahh the 70's... A hedonistic era, "same as it ever was".. I guess.
