Have been looking for some websites to buy some gear for an upcoming indo trip.

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations, either a physical store (Perth) or an online store?

I am all about supporting my local shop as long as pricing is reasonable but when it comes to items being marked up 400% simply for the joy of having to go and pick something up off a shelf, I baulk a little. Yes I realise the real estate costs and other costs of doing business here but I don't think I'm on an island when I say that Aus pricing seems a bit out of control.

I found a wickedly cheap site for boardies surfgeardirect.co but they seem to have nothing else and I need some essentials like rashies, leggies and a couple of new board covers.

Has anyone had any luck with Aus or overseas sites they have actually used and that arrive within a decent period of time?

It seems that for other sports like running/cycling, there are some really good sites from the uk like wiggle.com or chainreaction.com which offer free postage if you spend enough which isnt too hard with their prices. Is there a surfing equivalent?

I just havent been able to find much apart from surfstitch which isn't really cheap.

Maybe it has something to do with licencing arrangements for surf gear?

I know that Bali seems to have some authentic stuff for reasonable prices if you look hard enough too, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ive been flipping around online of late also for a OS trip coming up. Picked up some booties from Wetsuit warehouse, not all that cheap, but they had what i wanted and fast efficient service.

A mate just picked up a double board bag from Murray Smith for around $160 bucks..For him to buy something it has to be a bargain as he is a stooge and was going to lash two board together originally

Surftrolley.com always seem to a good go to store also. Other than that i got nothing

EDIT sorry that should say $160

$60 for a double bag?? sounds epic. Was that from the Osb Park disposal branch?

Thought I was doing well with my 3 pairs of phantom boardies for $50, but thats a steal.

Had a gander at the websites, they look good.
Cheers for the suggestions

Sorry that should say $160 so i edited it

I agree with Tux regarding Surfstich. They really can't be beaten for service. They even have a reply paid sticker if the sizes are incorrect.

3 Pairs of boardies for $50 is good, that will be hard to beat

Thanks guys. Yeah I thought $60 was crazily cheap JB. Couldnt buy the parts for that!

The phantom boardies were part of surfgeardirect's opening sale, looks like there are still some avail but at that price they are only size 32.

Arrived in a few days, no tags or fancy packaging or return slip but at that price I cant complain.

Will trawl for some surfstitch coupons!

Just a follow up on this
Phantom boardies arrived from surfgeardirect.co

Was a bit suss as there was a bit of a delay in getting them but they came from overseas which makes sense now given the about page.

My mistake re the pricing though it was 2 pairs of size 32 for $50 not 3.

Still am stoked at that price.
