Was travelling down from Geraldton today, and stopped off at Dongara Bakery (those meat pie enthusiast will understand why)
Anyway was sitting at table, and chap walked in (maybe in his ealy 50's) with his son and daughter in tow. Both late teens I guess. Both called him Dad at one stage in the ordering process at counter, so guess brother and sister.
Girl caught my attention, as she was easy on the eye plus "bare foot" thats a shock for Dongara and double Gee's (prickles)all over the place, wearing shorts and a Bin tang T-shirt
Dad wearing standard jeans and T-shirt and boots.
Now the brother, he fronts up in shorts and a general T shirt, no harm there, but had "pretty blue" what I can only term as dancing pumps and little white bobby socks on his feet. For goodness sake this isn't the norm of late I notice with our young men. Girls looking more like top country girls in dress sense but lads looking more like "Nancy Boys "

Yeah I'm hearing ya Mineralman

Started with "popped" collars on polo shirts, wearing loafers with no socks, the gelled ****y hair etc and pink shirts about 5yrs ago.

BTW pink shirt is OK, maybe with a tie of the right colour and a dark suit, yeah OK.

But then the other day I saw a bloke in pink (and I mean PINK) boardies and a button up short sleeved shirt, going to the pub. A special night, not just a 'whatever' night, at the pub, pay for tickets etc, and he is wearing pink boardies. WTF?

Come to South East Qld and see the hordes of 'individuals' in the rolled up just below the knee tight jeans, Brady bunch shoes, loose collared stripey shirts or singlets with a beard and bryll creamed short back and sides hair cut.

How do these blokes expect to get decent woman when there's no time left in front of the mirror for the woman???

I will never understand how anyone sees this girl spinning in an anti-clockwise direction.

Seriously, some kids fashion affronts your male sensibilities. I remember wearing fluro pink floral okanui boardies in the early eighties, along with hundreds of other surfers at the time. If a kid wants to look a little different from the wa bogan norm, all power to them i say. Who the **** are we to judge!

Are you serious or not?

The image was originally intended to show that some peoples brains work differently, and that some people would see clockwise and others would see anti-clockwise.

I think I see it as clockwise normally, but can change it to anti-clockwise. Can you change the direction by covering one of your eyes?

I can't remember what each direction was meant to relate to though.

Was going to recite my own understanding of the left vs right brain test but thought I would cut and paste the below.

She spins clockwise for me:

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking
worrier

bought a steak and mushy pie from there the other day myself. Not as good as I remember when we used to call in there after comin back from the edge for 3-4 days. Seem to remember them being way better then.
[}:)]By jesus though if ya walked into the Tarcoola Tav or the Dongara hotel for happy hour wearin pink ya would get bashed pretty quickly.
Strewth if ya didn't smell of stinky hocks or bait everyone would think ya was a bit homosexual in those days.
Ah memories

The direction of rotation also depends on your point of view....
If the girl is spinning clockwise if viewed from above, she is also spinning anti-clockwise if viewed from below....

My missus sees it both ways I only see it going clock wise. So if going by the above I use more of my right side of my brain?

I agree with evlpanda.......you people are insane.

She is going clockwise (if you were to view from above.)

When her foot is closest to us it goes from right, to left.

If you see anything else you are a freak, no amount of squinting, one eye use, focussing funny etc, will make it spin the other way.

If you have an iPad/phone etc. while looking just give a little up down swipe, it stops her and you can make her swing either way with total control
