yeah i dont think so. theyre still shxt at batting. they're hitting balls bowled by women. the female australian soccer team played the newcastle boys under15 soccer in a friendly and got smashed 7 nil. theres a lot of talk about how good they are at mens sports, but its PR
maybe you are right...be interesting to see how the very best cope with a first class male bowling attack. What's her name ...(Needed to look it up) - Elyse Perry. Soccer is a different thing surely, physical strength, agility, speed are all massive factors in that sport.
But batting... its all technical, skill based. As I said they may not be able to hit many boundaries but could be a decent touch player.
Funny story: My 14 yr old daughter umpired a lightning carnival of sorts recently - for Year 6 students. She did really well and was chosen to umpire the Boys final...but that's not the point of the story.
She says "the boys were hitting boundaries, taking catches, some great run outs...was fun. But the girl teams were totally hopeless."
THEN my wife goes "yeh the girls are useless"....
So I am standing there thinking " sh1te, should I say something here about equality and respect or whatever crap modern males have to bang on about now"...
So as usual (over most things) I just said nothing whilst they continued their conversation.
Now my daughter wasn't being sexist; as she's a go getter straight A dux type - plays good netball, plays backyard cricket and well when the lads are at it....and god help you if you say anything misogynist... she was purely talking about the cricket. What she observed purely on a physical level.
Anyhow confusing times.... I got no answers.
