Found this seal carcass washed up on low tide at my local beach, first thoughts was a shark has taken half of it but what is left has been stripped of the skin from neck down ? Saw a simlar size seal playing inshore the night before.

Any ideas ?

Sea lice have stripped it. Too evenly done to be only fish I reckon.

So - you asked for ideas? Maybe the ribs done in honey soy marinade and baked?

Maybe but the head still has most skin and the flesh was still pink, no rotten smell, so I doubt it was dead long enough for the lice to do it.

Head was more floaty so it was out of the water most of the time? I dunno

That, or the alien thing where they remove the eyes and genitalia from cattle with no blood and stuff, obviously lasers or something are used, and no vehicle tracks and stuff. Oh hang on, new rules. Sorry Lozza.

Real sharks took the back half and gummy sharks sucked the rest off?

You might be on to something there.

It is obviously an alien/seal hybrid, that never developed fully.

It seems the aliens arrived in Rockingham Australia, picked the most intelligent things there and tried to breed with them. Either that, or the seals looked dead sexy to them.

Least you know there is no sharts in the area ;-) Throw it back in the water and let the bait fish rape it ! Half hour later throw in a mulie and gang hooks

Thing that annoys me is people who catch stingrays kill them and leave them on the beach????????????? Kill them for no reason?

That is very true.

However, we await a thread when you don't just look to comment on my stuff.
It is nice to have such a dedicated groupie though. Hard to find that in GenY, no dedication that mob.

Looks like it's been through a tax audit to me.
Yep. Definitely the tax man.
It was lucky to escape so lightly.
