Poor old Julia. You can't blame her really. To get into the drivers seat she was forced to hop into bed with a whole lot of mongrels that she probably wouldn't normally talk to, and then everybody expects her to produce some thoroughbreds.
The fact is, half the policies she is trying to bring in now, such as pre-commitments on pokie machines, carbon tax, etc, were not what she would have done had labour won government in their own right. She can't say she's being bullied into it because she doesn't want people to know the country is actually being run by a handful of greens and independents.
Tony would have done exactly the same thing. In fact he did try to but his sincere promises did not sound as sincere as Julias. Specially since he had said that if he said something but it wasn't in a written statement then it couldn't be relied on.

That's got to inspire confidence doesn't it?
And no, I'm not a labour supporter and I will be happy to see them out but I have to call it as it is.
