Hardly "Nazi"
You have never been allowed to camp there, and the roadblock thing has been running on lots of long weekends etc.
There was d1cks going there prior to the new road, just ask the local landowners who have their fences cut / gates rammed etc by the 4WD crew, every single weekend.
I note the article still refers to ''going on to" Wedge Island (just like they reported at New Year's), the clueless media still think that people go onto the actual island en masse. Dopes. How can anyone expect decent media information when they can't even figure that part out.....

I'd rather blame the dick heads who think that a machete is an appropriate accessory to take to a party, and that it's ok to kill someone to death with it.
Local police are apparantly patrolling the beach pouring out any alcohol be it open or in esky's since new years from what i've heard from shack owners.
Can't blame them really.
There goes the camping with kids idea![]()
No problem.
It is a strictly no camping area now.
Probably because they don't want people bothering the sharks. ![]()

I agree with pat, but Felix has a point, putting a bitumen road almost all the way to the beach up there was always going to ruin it. Sure there were dickheads up there now and then, but now every bogan and his commodore can show up and smash cans on his head.
Our friends and I used to go every so often through summer before the road.
Not anymore ![]()
It was different in my day. What a load of crap. All the road has done has moved the problem north. BR before the road was the same. Bogans begit Bogans. Same story 10 km further on. 25 year regular user of this area
Mad Max mentality has always been there. It was better to park close to the water and let the Battle Cruisers go behind, so they did not kill all the kids and dogs. Rule 1 don,t go behind the car Junior. Rule 2 the same etc. etc
More news for those heading up there

SO you have a issue with a family guy swagging with two kids in a National park. But you have no issue with your mates illegally killing a protected species.![]()
You've got issues..But feel free to keep stalking![]()
Master of the double entendre?
Not double entendre. It's tautology and/or pleonasm.
Tautology, pleonasm, whatever. I heard Jeremy Clarkson say it on Top Gear once and thought it amusing... ![]()
