Hey GypsyDrifter
I have experienced some of those swells that you mentioned however taking a photo was the last thing on my mind at the time.

My old boat Pamala II was built in 1973 and I was told that she fished the Abrohlos region for over twenty years as the Leeman Lass.
I reckon she would have seen some big swells and have a few stories to tell.
I purchased the boat in 2000 and she was still a licensed fishing boat but I converted her and put her out to pasture so to speak (Hillarys, Rotto etc) but unfortunately had to sell her due to rising fuel costs and pen fees.
There is an excellent book called Cray Tales that had some good photo's and stories about life on the Islands. If you lived and worked there you should try and get a copy.
