Kind of. They compete with each other to see who can believe the most ridiculous story or "truth". These "truths" are shared (downwards) as a type of "I know something you don't" form of social status amongst members. If you don't believe you are a sinner in god's eyes/a lemming or to use popular parlance "sheeple", in general looked down upon and pitied, in need of rescuing by their knowledge/status.
(Yes, I'm drawing a similarity)

On another note, that video's first 10 seconds: "blah blah expected to rise, blah blah". See how you have to... what am I trying to say here... you have to believe that some antichrist is expected to rise up before the rest of the entire movie even begins to make any sense. WTF? I have seen some pics that are supposed to be authentic images from the south pole region.This one is an artists rendition.
Why would the major governments of the world invest billions in a radio telescope on the south pole?? and upgrading the hubble telescope (was due to get decomissioned) to a radio telescope and point it in the same direction??
